Well it has been a strange start to 2017, with the first six months being slow with me having back problems that kept me out of the saddle.

However, Melissa has picked up the challenge of working all the horses to maintain their fitness along with the usual yard duties. So, my horses have had some nice relaxing six months.

Everything has now changed I have made a good recovery, and I'm back in the saddle taking Almo back out, and winning his first three Advanced Medium tests.

Both our young horses have been out, with William is our home bred qualifying in 1st place for the Young Horse Dressage at Hickstead with Melissa Goodwin onboard. .

Frankie our home bred is working at Novice, and is posting good scores.

Paddy is working well, and is ready to compete at Medium.

All will be going out in the next few weeks along with Sparkle.

Meanwhile Keira has taken both Arron and Faffy out to combined training coming 3rd on Faffy and posting a 66% dressage on Arron, and would have been well placed but for a slight hiccup in the show jumping.

The Event Team have been out Cross-Country Schooling at Somerford, and great time taking on new challenges, and improving the skills needed for eventing. The Dressage practice has continued with Robyn claiming 1st and Lauren 4th with Laura close with 5th. Next is practice show jumping on the 11th July, and we will be all set for Bold Heath on the 14th August.

The new addition to our team Roxy Sophie Lakers new 3-year-old is coming on nicely with Sophie taking her time, and both getting to know each other, with Roxy reminding us of how sharp young horses can be.
